Before joining Prudential Verani, I was a librarian and library manager for several years. I enjoyed helping people find what they were looking for. In order to satisfy my clients’ needs, I would hunt through indexes, consult websites, and seek out experts to assist with the search. The work was very personally rewarding, and nothing brought me greater satisfaction than a client telling me I had found exactly what they were looking for.
After working in a variety of libraries – from small suburban towns like Hockessin, Delaware to urban cities like Lorain, Ohio and Springfield, Mass., I decided I would like to live and work in a more tranquil setting. I moved to southern New Hampshire in the 90's and worked for several years as director of the Hollis Social Library. I found that this area of New England had so much to offer – peaceful rolling hills with a rural cast just a few minutes’ drive from all the suburban and urban amenities a person could desire.
I began thinking how great it would be if I could assist others to find a home in this pleasant location. So I earned my NH Real Estate License and was pleased to join the Prudential Verani team. Now instead of connecting people with books they are searching for, I connect them to the home they are seeking.
Southern New Hampshire encompasses just about all the communities south of Concord. I like to concentrate my efforts in the towns south of Manchester and west of Nashua: Hollis, Brookline, Mason, Amherst, Milford, Mont Vernon, Bedford, Temple, Wilton, and Peterborough. These towns are among the earliest settled in the state, and many are filled with homes and public buildings of exceptional character, many over two centuries old. The populations of most are under 5,000 and feature the typical old New England village center, dairy farms, orchards, equestrian centers, unpretentious quality restaurants and quaint shops. The towns are bastions of the centuries-old New England town meeting; many residents are active volunteers on town committees, and are committed to good schools and preserving the unspoiled character of their community. Townspeople welcome new arrivals readily into their communities.
